Fresh Start

Since moving here, I have met so many kind and passionate new people who came to California for a fresh start. They were either leaving a toxic job environment, going through a bad breakup, or couldn’t stand to live at home anymore. A friend asked me why I moved, “What are you running from?” Not running, but chasing. I’m here to chase after new experiences. I want to take more jumps in my life and see where I land. I’m constantly terrified and excited about the changes and decisions that I come across every day, but it only makes life more thrilling. May we continue to focus on the people and moments that bring us joy, love, and laughter. Let’s teach each other how to live fearlessly.

Yosemite National Park

Last weekend, I traveled to Yosemite National Park with a few friends. It’s a long journey from San Francisco, but the drive is worth it. We hiked up the Upper Yosemite Fall Trail, which is 7 miles roundtrip. The strenuous hike included trickling waterfalls and a spectacular view. I would love to come back in the winter time to see the mountains covered with snow.

Barcelona, Part 3

I’m not an expert in the Spanish language, but I do know how to say tapas fluently. Most importantly, I enjoyed munching on all the tapas in Barcelona. Tapas is a selection of appetizers or snacks that are good before the late dinner. Patatas bravas is a common tapas dish in Spain, which consists of white potatoes served with a spicy tomato or aioli sauce. In the picture above, there’s a photo of patatas bravas, which was devoured instantly.

Barcelona, Part 2

Park Guell was our first tourist attraction, which is a beautiful creation by architect Antoni Gaudi (his work is everywhere in Barcelona). The natural public park is filled with lush gardens and is known as the face of Catalan modernism.
